Our joy is not only because of what is. It is also a result of what could have been. I know this because this month, my visa to study Christian Media Ministry at Hartland on scholarship was finally granted, ending my great disappointment in February.

God knows just what we need to be the best we can be for Him and He would bring it to pass just in time; not early, not late while we keep His commandments and walk in His paths and delight in His will. The Bible promises that “the path of the just [is] as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18).

Life has taught me to be quiet. Again and again, I see that the more of the knowledge of the riches of the grace of Christ that you partake in, and the closest you come to His Divine pattern, the more you cherish a quiet spirit.

Truth does not make you proud. Error does. Those who consider themselves representatives of the Truth and yet are filled with pride have not yet experienced the power of the Truth. They may know the truth, but they don’t have the Truth.

It’s been a month full of miracles for me. But how we forget the miracles that happen everyday! How we forget the miracles we call disappointments! There will be nothing that God has done for His faithful children that in eternity will not prove a miracle.

Respond to the light, act the light, preach the light, and God will bring you more light.

I had a scary incident this month. While undergoing a steam inhalation treatment conducted by a colleague, the hot water spilled and I had some burns, which as I write, is still in the process of healing. I have learnt to be contended in situations I cannot explain for even then, God is nearest.

The best results from doing the right things though they were not easy. The plan of salvation certainly was not an easy choice to make for God–He was going to be misunderstood, blackmailed, cursed, hated, betrayed, murdered, by His own creatures–but He kept the end in view, and so we are to do.

***”Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things” (Philippians 4:8).***
